Ellesmere Rangers hit for six by Pitmen
The hastily arranged friendly fixture against Ellesmere Rangers, at the excellent TNS facilities, was fully justified as Simon Line's team ran out 6-1 winners in a game played in three 35 minute sections to allow a number of tactical options to be explored.
New signings Steve Brannan and Darren Alexander were both among the scorers along with Luke Chapman, Elliott Durrell and two for skipper, Ross Dyer, the second which was a well struck left foot drive from 20 yards out.
The manager made a number of tactical changes, including a run out for promising youth team players Rob Stevenson and Jamey Osborne and was pleased with the overall performance.
