Hednesford Town U10’s - 5

Ashmore Park – 0

Hednesford Town won the Jimmy Mullen Memorial Trophy with a convincing win against old foes Ashmore Park at the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Molineux. The Junior Pitmen became the first Hednesford team to win the trophy at U10's level in the cups 22 year history

Town were on fire and after five minutes Jack Weldon crashed the ball into the bottom corner to give Town the lead.

Early in the second half Town increased the lead when Weldon thundered the ball into the top corner and a minute later town made it three when Mitch Candlin turned the ball home at the near post. Town were now dominating and Candlin made it four when he finished a good move to slide the ball past the keeper. Cody Lyons made his dreams come true when he finished the scoring on his beloved Wolves ground firing home the fifth at the death.

Congratulations to the squad (seen lifting the tophy at Molinuex) of Jamie Weldon, Cody Lyons, Tom Mackenzie, James Simcock, Josh Parker, Mitch Candlin and Jack Weldon - who made it four out of four for the season.
