Hednesford Town (Girls) U11's 3 - 1 Milford
Milford went at the Hednesford defence direct from the kick off, which resulted in a corner almost immediately, this was well defended by Gemma Bailey who then produced a fantastic through ball to Molly Jowett who in turn slid in Naomi Aston who was denied by a last ditch tackle. The opening goal soon arrived when Ria Elsmore picked out Jowett, who found Managers player of the match Naomi Aston who gave Town the lead.
Milford defended superbly to thwart the Hednesford attacks and they drew themselves level from a penalty despite the best efforts of Hollie Nelson who initially made an excellent stop only to see the ball trickle into the corner.
Further chances came and went for Hednesford and after 27 minutes they restored their lead when excellent following up by Molly Joe Johnson saw her prod home from close range following another fine save from the Milford goalkeeper. Kiera Morgan and Bailey were outstanding at the back to cut out the Milford attack and with five minutes remaining Opposition player of the match Elsmore smashed home a free kick from outside the box to seal the victory.
