The team is enjoying a fantastic first season after only coming together over the summer of 2009 and the cheque for £200 will provide welcome funds as the team becomes more established in the Walsall Junior youth league.

Manager Kieran Newey was delighted with the award and would like to put on record his thanks to Peter Harrison and everyone at the Town Council for their support of the team.

Jordan Cross was kept busy in the Hednesford goal, whilst Roman Harriman and Jack Rogers both battled well after coming on. The second game of the day v Beacon Warriors saw some end to end play with Hednesford producing some fine passing moves, creating several opportunities Hednesford Town are on the lookout for sponsors and would like to hear from any local businesses or organisation's willing to offer support.
